When I run low on artistic inspiration, I like to revisit my old pencil sketches for ideas. I stumbled upon this one from 2017 during a visit to a friend in Napa. We spent our time standing in the pool and enjoying glasses of wine. I sketched a rough version to capture the essence of the moment. Finally had a chance to finish it and add one more to my California collection of cards.

Blast Off

I stumbled upon another pencil sketch, this time from my visit to the San Luis Obispo area in 2022. A day spent at the beach left me mesmerized by Morro Rock. I kept waiting for the rock to just blast off into space. That didn't happen, but this illustration did. I considered naming it "FOMO" (Fear of Missing Out), eventually settled on "Blast Off." One more to the space and robot collection of cards.
